Game Space Integrates Chainlink Price Feeds to Help Secure Price Accuracy Inside Native NFT Marketplace SDK

We’re excited to announce that Game Space–an innovative GameFi as a Service (GaaS) platform — has integrated Chainlink Price Feeds on Ethereum mainnet. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, Game Space has access to high-quality, tamper-proof price feeds needed to help power price accuracy for our NFT marketplace SDK, used to buildGameFi applications. This integration adds a key service that helps Game Space provide gaming companies with access to a full range of services when onboarding their Web2 games to Web3 via the Game Space SDK and Admin Panel.

The initial integration involves the use of the following Price Feed: ETH/USD. Game Space chose Chainlink as its go-to oracle solution because its infrastructure is seamless to integrate and time-tested in production. Chainlink already helps secure leading DeFi protocols responsible for tens of billions of dollars in smart contract value, maintaining robust security and high availability even amidst unexpected events, such as exchange downtime, flash crashes, and data manipulation attacks via flash loans.

Game Space offers a full spectrum of technical and business model support services for traditional games to enter the Web3 and GameFi era. This reduces the time and capital costs of on-chain game development. Support for multi-chain deployments is a major feature of Game Space. Game Space currently supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Solana, Heco, Flow, and Avalanche. By using Game Space’s multi-chain deployment, developers can get rid of “chain phobia” and deploy games on multiple public chains at the same time.

A key aspect to providing an all-inclusive SDK for game builders is to enable marketplace functionality, which is the core function of the Game Space SDK. In order to help secure price accuracy in the NFT marketplace SDK, Game Space needed access to fresh asset prices that are supplied directly on-chain in a highly reliable manner. Fair market asset prices help make the user onboarding experience easier, and price should always reflect a volume-weighted average from all trading environments. Thus, Game Space needed to make use of an oracle network to fetch aggregated price data off-chain and deliver it on-chain to be consumed by the Game Space application.

Chainlink nodes have a strong track record of reliability, even during high gas prices and infrastructure outages.
• Decentralized Network — Chainlink Price Feeds are decentralized at the data source, oracle node, and oracle network levels, generating strong protections against downtime and tampering by either the data provider or oracle network.
• Reputation System — Chainlink provides a robust reputation framework and set of on-chain monitoring tools that allow users to independently verify the historical and real-time performance of node operators and oracle networks.
