Recently, Game Space, the first GameFi as a Service platform in the whole industry opened a Genesis NFT AirDrop event for one billion Steam players. At present, Game Space has joined forces with more than ten institutions such as ByBit, Gate.io, Huobi, KuCoin Wallet, BitKeep, DAOs and Gaming Guilds to AirDrop NFTs to Steam users.

Game Space hosted an Exclusive AMA with its Discord community, the Head of Partnerships Larry answered key questions during the AMA. Here is the complete Recap of the AMA.

Mark “Hi everyone nice to meet you all, and glad to have you all here. Game Space, the first GameFi as a Service platform in the industry, announced the airdrop NFT event for Steam users and also to our partners, Let’s welcome Larry”

Larry “Hello everybody my name is Larry and I’m in charge of partnerships at Game Space and its a pleasure to be here. I will start will some community questions that have been collected and I will answer them now. Once these questions are answered, we will open the floor to everyone else in the community. LFG!”

Mark “Well, the most interesting question is Why Game Space Genesis Badge NFTs have reached a floor price of 630 USDT”

Larry “This is a very good question, and I will get to that later in the AMA but indeed the price of the Platinum badge has surprised everybody”.

Mark “Awesome I know everyone is excited to hear why the price is so high so make sure to stcik around until the end to find out.

So onto the first question Why did Game Space think of airdropping NFTs to one billion Steam users?”

Larry “To answer your question, Game Space hopes to connect Steam with the blockchain eco-system and become the first stop for one billion gamers to enter the Web3 world. Gamers can freely switch between applications on multiple platforms, by connecting on-chain and off-chain data, becoming the first stop for one billion gamers to enter the Web3 world”.

“Steam airdrops are designed to reward the attention and interests of gamers on Steam. For example, the most important reference factors for airdrops are the user’s game time and account registration time, which are only for the attention and interests of real users on Steam. Airdrop rewards provide verifiable fairness for Web2 players to enter the Web3 world and play GameFi games”.

“Our second question asked by the community is May I know what is the difference between this Game Space Steam airdrop and the previous airdrops?”

Larry “Game Space adopts the design concept of Web2.5 and is compatible with both Web2 and Web3. Through a centralized account and transaction system + the decentralized assets management system, it helps traditional gamers avoid complications related to onboarding to the blockchain ecosystem. At the same time, it still supports users withdrawing assets on chain. This design concept can help traditional users enter web3 in a quick and efficient way so that traditional gaming companies can use Web2 user experience + Web2.5 infrastructure to bring Web3 experiences to traditional gamers. Well, some users want to know, what can they do with the Badge they claimed from the Steam event and how can the user claim the bronze and platinum badges?”

Larry “Well there are several things users can do with the badges”

1) Game Space will introduce utilities and benefits to badge holders in the future.

2) Badge holders may be whitelisted for future game releases, and gain access to invite-only games.

3) Qualified for token airdrops

4) Badge holders can upgrade to the Platinum Badge by inviting friends and earning points. The Platinum Badge can be sold and transferred.

“Currently, all Steam users can still redeem 1 Game Space Badge by connecting their Steam account to the Game Space Wallet. Users with a Steam registration time of under 1 year will receive a Bronze Badge, a Steam registration time of 1–2 years will receive a Silver Badge, and Steam users with a registration time of more than 3 years will receive a Gold Badge as well as a level 3 Merge Bird NFT!

Furthermore, users with the Game Space Badge will automatically receive 1 point between Aug 18 12:00 — Aug 31 12:00. Users who invite another user with a Steam registration time of more than 1 year will receive 1 point. When points reach a certain level, the badge will be upgraded to a higher tier. Bronze -> Silver -> Gold -> Platinum!

Platinum badges can be earned by upgrading from Gold Badges. The Platinum Badge can be transferred and sold in both the Game Space Wallet app and OpenSea”.
