How do I buy and sell options?
On Typus, by being a depositor, you are SELLING options, and by being a bidder, you are BUYING options.
So, what is the difference between depositing and selling options?
By depositing, you are simply placing an order to sell options — no one has bought it yet. To successfully sell the options, you must have your order filled — someone bought it.
Does it matter which vault I deposit in?
No, as long as you are deposting, you will ALWAYS be selling options. It does not matter whether it’s our covered call vault, call spread vaults, or put selling vaults. By being a depositer, you are ALWAYS the seller.
On the contrary, by being the bidder, you will ALWAYS be buying options. Again, which vault you bid on will not change that.

How to Bid
There are at least 7 auctions happening daily. Each with varying time frames for you to bid.
To get alerts for upcoming auctions, make sure to subscribe to @TypusFinanceAuction so you don’t miss out.
How do I fill my order?
Filling the orders depend on market requirements. If enough people bid then your order will get filled. Usually on the weekends, less people bid, and therefore the fill rate is lower.
To increase the chances of your orders getting filled, simply participate in the auctions and place bids!
Why is only a portion of my funds activated?
This is because your order is only partially filled. Let’s say that after the auction, the Daily Sui Covered Call is filled 50%. This means that out of your 100 SUI deposit, only 50 SUI was filled and goes into the Active Balance, earning premium. While the remaining 50 SUI returns to the Warmup Balance.
How is APY calculated?
The APY on the vault card is an estimation under the assumption that all deposits get sold out, but the filled rate for every auction varies, since the demand for daily options is rather volatile. The filled rate and performance for each vault can be found here.
Wen earn & Wen lose
For each strategy, when you earn and lose depends on the spot price of the underlying asset at the time of expiry in relevance to the strike price.

How do I complete all 3 Bullshark quests successfully?
If you’d like to make sure all 3 of your Bullshark quests are completed successfully. First, deposit into any vault. Second, once auctions start, place a bid on the same vault you deposited in. That’s it!
Why is my deposit not showing up?
When our website is experiencing large amounts of volume and traffic, the RPC can become unstable. Please disconnet your wallet and then reconnect (make sure it’s the correct one). Switching RPC, waiting a few minutes and refreshing the page will also help fix the issue.
I just placed a bid but I cannot see it in My Portfolio.
After an auction ends, the delivery takes about an hour. You will be able to see your bids after this.

My funds have been activated, but why can’t I see my rewards?
Make sure you are selecting the harvest tab to view your rewards.
If you still can’t see your rewards, this means that your rewards are less than 0.01 SUI. Our frontend only displays amounts larger than 0.01 SUI. You will be able to view and claim your rewards once you have at least 0.01 SUI.
If I deposit and withdraw immediately, will this count as completing the task?
No, one of the rules outlined by Mysten Labs states that you must hold an aggregate of at least 5 SUI across the dApps throughout the entire quest period to qualify. If you do not, your points will reset to zero.
Why can’t I click the Bid button?
First, please make sure you are placing a bid when auctions are happening. Make sure you have sufficient funds in your wallet and are connecting to the right wallet. If you’re still having trouble placing a bid, close the dApp completely and reopen it to try again.
