When we created Tails By Typus, we wanted to make DeFi fun. We wanted to lower the entry barrier to the complex financial products that people tend to stray away from, and create a suite of products/tools that will bring real yields and are easy for the average user to understand.

We know that DeFi isn’t easy. We know not everyone understands derivatives. We wanted to do more.

Our solution of gamifying the DeFi experience started with Tails By Typus.

As you perform on-chain actions on Typus, your staked Tails acts as a user log, recording each one of your transactions and rewarding your with the associated EXPs. Once you have gained enough EXPs, you are able to level up. The image and metadata of your NFT evolves to the next level.

The gameplay of this is just like tamagotchi or one of those feeding-your-pet minigames that we’re all familiar with from our childhood. As with any video games, we wanted to expand and create more options for alternative gameplay.

Enter: Tails Dice²

We’ve spun up a simple dice game for users who are eager to level up quickly or want an alternative option to gaining additional EXPs aside from participating in on-chain activities on Typus.

The game is really straightforward. You make 2 guesses, roll the dice, reveal your results, and reap the rewards!

Unlike other on-chain minigames out there, on Tails Dice², ANY outcome will generate a reward in EXPs, even if you get BOTH guesses wrong.

The highest reward is if you get a critical hit with both guesses, you win 200,000 EXP per 1 SUI.

Earn from the Profit Sharing Pool

Aside from the EXPs you win from the gameplay, we’ve baked into the game a profit sharing pool. This is a huge perk that we’re giving back exclusively to our Tails holders.

The profit from the game will be aggregated weekly into a profit sharing pool that are only claimable to users who have staked their Tails on Typus.

Every week, users will be able to see the profit to claim in $SUI amount for the week, the next distribution date/time, and the associated allocation to each Tails level.

The higher the level your Tails is, the more profit you will be allocated. This is a fair way to ensure that the rewards we are offering accurately go out to the users who contribute to Typus the most.

If you are not a Tails holder but would like to be, you can purchase one on a secondary marketplace like Hyperspace or Tradeport. We will also be rolling out with leaderboard campaigns where Tails will be given out as rewards.
